CVSA has Special Non-Government Organization Consultative Status at the United Nations
Ours is a land of plenty, the largest economy in the world – yet there are communities in need all around us and millions facing hunger, poverty, and lack of access to basics such as affordable shelter, quality health care, assistance after natural disasters and more. CVSA publishes Invest Yourself: A Guide to Action, the catalogue of volunteer opportunities with community-based nongovernmental organizations throughout the U.S. and the world that are serving people and communities in need of systemic solutions to economic, social and environmental problems. The ClearTech team has made it a priority to lend our time and resources to assist CVSA’s volunteer efforts.
In 2015, all 193 member nations of the UN, including the United States, adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, pledging to achieve 17 key sustainability goals by 2030, starting with ending all poverty. CVSA’s Community Education Campaign for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provides resources to build a groundswell of volunteer grassroots involvement in planning, implementing and monitoring the achievement of these urgently needed goals in our communities. ClearTech conducts our business in accord with the 2030 Goals, and has been vigorous in enlisting other organizations to join us, including the LA Business Council and the International Facilities Management Association.
